The company is renowned for great design and taste. They knew their old website had fallen behind their top competitors, nationally and locally. They wanted to better convey the upscale, contemporary image that helps them win over new clients, many of whom were increasingly making purchasing decisions online. And they were intrigued by the possibility of bringing the experience of a showroom online, surfacing their thousands of product lines for online customers.
The Right Brain and the Left Brain
The new site needed to appeal to professionals seeking ready access to clearly-organized information, and quick answers on their mobile phones.
It also needed to appeal to designers and clients in search of inspiration – a feeling — of being swept off their feet. Many buying decisions are driven by emotion. By the experience, as much as the product stats.
We created a site that offers multiple ways to explore a huge library of tiles and materials. Browse thematically, seek design inspiration, or search for a marble hexagon in just the right size. Customers can create scrapbooks and save collections of their favorite tiles on the site.
Brand Refresh
The company’s brand was known and loved but ready for a refresh. We created a new logo and style guide that preserved what the company’s customers loved about their brand, while enabling them to connect with a new generation of Seattle customers.
The end result is a website that makes prospective customers drool: "I want that!" — and makes it easy for them to take action.
